To create a custom portrait, first, you must find a picture. Then, in a picture viewer, change it to a 24-bit, 110x170 pixel bmp. For example: XXXXXXXl.bmp, the l is for large, and you must have seven digits or less for the base name. Then you save another copy, and make it 38x60 pixels. Save it with an 's' replacing the 'l'. Then, if there isn't one already, create a folder titled 'portraits' in the data section, and place the two in there. Run the game... When you are in the game, create a new game on single player. Then you choose your gender, and instead of clicking on a normal portrait, select 'custom portrait'! Then select the large version in the large slot and the small version in the small slot and enjoy!
